Default Banner day on the rez

I know alot of you guys could care less about those Stripers but I nailed them yesterday. Limited out as a matter of fact. Bad part and it's the only bad part besides me being slap dab wo out was I had several get off due to it only being me in the boat. I finally found them suckers yesterday and yes, thank you 997. Just trolling around pulling cranks, I've been using the DI or the regular FF so I could see how deep the fish were. I changed yesterday to the SI and found them and found them thick. Had 6 poles out and after I spotted them on the SI stacked on a point, I buzzed right on top of them. I figured I'd get 1 maybe 2 on at the same time but I wasn't ready for what happened next. First pole went off so I went and started reeling it in and heard buuzzzzzzzz, the line screaming out on the other side of the boat. From there it was down hill as I had 4 Stripers and a catfish on at the same time. Got 2 out of that first set in the boat. Took me about 45 to get things reset and back over for another pass. This time 5 poles went out again, all 5 were stripers. Wo me out I tell you. I had just enough time to make one more pass through there but this time with only 2 rods, to heck with 6 out with one person. I picked up my 6th Stripers that time. Smallest Striper was 18 inches, biggest was just under 28 inches and the rest were 22-24 inches. Caught 2 nice, bout lb n a half or so crappie to boot so it was an awesome day. PICS to follow as soon as my sweet wife gets them downloaded for me.

Sounds great, you sound like you were busier than a one legged man at a tail kicking contest. :D Days like that make it sweet.

Default First time in a ong time

that I was worn out from fishing in just a a couple or so hours. Trick was to call someone and you'd get a bite. Was on the phone with Maj one time and McHappy the next time. LOL

    Default That and stressed out

had one rod came out of the rod holder and went in the water so I dove back to the back of the boat and grabbed it before it sunk. I have the driftmaster holders and the bar mount but even though I tightened them with a pair of pliers, it pulled the screw loose and the holder pointed to the back of the boat. I got lucky on that one.

    Default Kewl thing is that

where the stripers are is real close to where I've been catching the Crappie pulling cranks so I get to double dip on species.
