    Default Charging question

I have been pulling cranks with my Terrova. I have a Mk 3 bank on board charger. Plugged in at 9 PM last night, still not charged. I have never run the batteries this far down slow trollin or pole fishin. Is it normal to take 16 hours or more to charge fully depleted group 29's?

    15 amps - 5 amps per circuit.

Default 16 hours on that charger

16 hours on that charger is perfectly normal. Battery Manufactures want you to keep the charge time between 6 and 24 hours. 5 amp chargers are quite slow but very battery friendly. I upgraded to a 15 amp per bank and gained a ton of speed.

CH is a gewber. But he is right.

Congrats Feelay. You just learned a lesson on why saving $ with a 5 amp charger ain't a good idea.

Jerkn ain't a gewber. He's an ewber gewber, but he's right too. When's the last time you checked the water in those batts? Only fill with distilled water and don't over fill. If your answer is anything over 3 months, I'm gonna start calling you DD Junior with disdain in my voice.

The rest of ya'll are gewbers too, 'cept for CN. She gets a pass on account of her purtiness and grace.

Feelay, Crappiehunter68 is correct. I had to do the same thing. Even with a 15 amp per bank I barely get my group 27's charged overnight but I have a bad habit of running them all the way down before I switch to the big mota.
