    I assume you are using nylon electrical nuts, over time they will corrode. You can buy butt terminals now that are 100 % waterproof. That is all I will use on a boat.

    I thought he was talking about replacing the wing nuts on the battery terminals with nylon lock nuts. If he was....to me that could be a bad idea.....you might have a need to get those cables off quick sometime.

    I prefer to use solder and heat shrink......you can get water proof heat shrink now.

    i haven't had the chance to meet this pillar of the community,banker,little home maker and general all around boat rigger superb yert,,, but i can honestly say from all the post that i have read and having talked to speckhunter iam not sure there is any thing to say,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, at this time

    Maj any NAPA keeps them. You splice the wire then use a torch to heat it and the solder melts then the shrink tubing and it is 100% water proof.
