    a old crappie fisherman was telling me a trolling motor and a fishfinder sound waves will spook crappie what do yall think i think he was pulling my leg but i dont know
    did you see the size of that fish

    i know i caught fish with my trolling motor and fishfinder on but would i caught more with them off i dont know

    Ifn this feller was like my granddad then yes he's right. He used a paddle, which is louder and fer a depth finder he would stick his pole in the water til it hit bottom, subtract the mud line from the length of the pole and then subtract the wet part if the pole from the mudline equation and he would have his depth. Now for what I think, no I don't think it matters.
