    Default Broken Poles

Someone gave me an 11' Buck's Custom Graphite Rod.The 1st fish I caught broke the tip section of the pole and the fish wasn't even legal.I also have a12' B&M Graphite jig pole with a broken tip section.I guess the Chinese had a bad day at the factory when those poles were made.Think I will go back to cheap fiberglass poles.

BK60, you have to be very careful not to nick these poles. I had one in my boat secured in a rod holder and had rubbed on the end. When I put the pole together and put pressure on the tip it broke. Called BnM and got a replacement tip and have not had any problems. The replacement tips are a lot cheaper than buying a new pole. Sorry you had a problem.

BK60, go to Wally World and buy a new one then take the broken one and reciept and get your money back. Works down here.

Well, if none of that works for ya, give Grizzly Jig a shout. They've got replacement tips for most all poles at pretty reasonable prices.

I bought 4 BnM ultralights during my oxycodone days and I have had to replace all 4 end pieces on the first trip out with them. both 10 footers broke on there first trip, then the 2 12 footers broke on the next trip out. Within a week or two had to replace all and now one of the 10 footers is broke again just trying to land a fish. I am kinda disappointed in BnM this go round, usually great stuff have alot of their rods but this years batch must be jinxed.

Default Been lucky on this end SO FAR

Thanks for the advise Torch. I'm rough as they come on poles and any equipment so I need to learn to be more gentle with them.
