Adak is known as the birthplace of the wind. I unfeathered the prop and it got to turning good I hit fuel and ignition and it started it right up. I went in the hanger and was talking about it and one of the pilots overheard me and did not believe it....so we went back outside and I showed him.
Adak was the place for it,was on final one day bout 2mi. out and a white out hit ,knocked out GCA we had to divert to Kodiak.

Naw i think its above my learning curve. And since i rarely fish in water over 10 ft. i dont think it would help that much. Been doing pretty good with out it.

I know what you mean. I cannot tell what I am looking at on those untill somebody tells me...then I can see it sometimes and sometimes I can't. I'll just stick to my old school FF.

Don't forget your simple machines. A nice length of 2x4 set on a fulcrum (more 2x4's, block, wife....) and a toolbox on the end of it for weight will make that lower unit almost 'neutral' in weight. Just stick it under the skeg and push that tool box out away from you until that sucker gets light enough to deal with.

starting your engine out of water, like on the ramp before you put in, will burn your pump
up in very little time. the water lube's & cools the rubber.

    that being said.. go fishing
