For Ross Barnett you better get something built to take a pounding if you get out there and it gets bad (assuming you hadn't fished out there)...DM is high...So is BPS. I would look for a used boat. Find a Bass Rig and deck it out. Those bassers buy um, park um under a shed and claim to be fishermen and go out once or twice a year and then the old lady says get that thing outta here and like magic someone gets a deal on a good rig. Best time to find one is about 3 weeks before Christmas, and hope the guy has kids...

I got a used Stratos 18.5' w/150 on a super deal. The only other boat I could see being better would be a 20'+ Ranger or Stratos and the price goes way up.

I had 16.5' alum on RB previously. NOW with the fiberglass and a 150 every time the alum boat would have been pounding in the waves, the fiberglass just cuts right thru no problems..Most the time you never even feel a bump. I did add about 150 pounds of lead just center of the console closer to the bow than stern.

Looking for aluminum boat kinda like what I had. Just didn't know what new was out there in aluminum or fiberglass. Fished barnett a lot but don't have the $$ for a decked out ranger etc. I know dm is high as I looked. May wait till next fall and try and steal me one from someone that needs to get rid of one.

saw a nice xpress on craig's list in jackson area couple days ago. nice war eagle there now. was a really nice posted here on CC.com also last week or so. they are out there for the finding. best of luck. IMHO, in a metal boat a War Eagle is very hard to beat.

Like front and rear livewells. Preferably wide enough up front for 2 trolling. Looking at 17 SS series express. Somewhere between 9 and 15,000. Like aluminum for stump fields at rez etc. Anything comparable to 17 ss series in any name brand. Figured some of yall have been there done that and could guide the way.

If I was getting a new boat, I would call F&F and get a custom boat at a lot less money. You can get and 1860 and trailer for about 6500.00. Put a 115, trolling motor and incendentals and still come in at under 14k.
