I think when you have 300 boats at 300 each and a Chamber of commerce that chips in 60 to 80k it should be better than what it is.

when you got all those salaries to pay who else is supposed to pay it? How much was paid out? It's easy to do the math? What tourney are you referring to and I will get it off their website.
the payout is based on a 70 boat field. If the payout is less it means they didn't have a full boat field. They usually have somewhere around that or a little less.
people don,t realize how much time and miles they(both tournament trails )put in to have these tournaments, they have to make something for doing it and have to pay the help. They have to get mtel rooms just like the fishermen do and they have to buy gas just like we do to.
Take a kid fishing
I don't know how the guys afford to fish these tournaments, with gas and motels, food, plus having to take off work without pay to pre fish the tournament.
I think most of the regular tournament guys have there own business or have very good jobs, or retired and they can afford to travel and fish, but everybody is not in that bracket. And CM and CUSA will slowly die if new members are not brought in
The little guys can't do it, so if CM and CUSA are gonna survive and continue to grow, something has to give. It's the same old people in every tournament, very few new guys.
Another thing, the two day tournaments are killing the guys, it's making money for the city of the tournament, but if they keep up with the 2 day tournaments CM and CUSA will die on the vine.
It reminds me of when I came back from Viet-Nam, and tried to join the VFW, they said I couldn't because Viet-Nam was not declared a real war only a conflict.
The old members started dieing off, and when they realized they was gonna die, if new members were not allowed in [Viet-Nam] they changed there rules to allow Viet-Nam vets in.
Is this making any sense to yall, am I the only one that see's this. There is so many under the table dealing with these tournaments.
I've said enough....
