    Default G3 Eagle 176


    Anyone have this boat? I like the way it looks and I'm thinking of going with it come June when I buy my new one. Can't decide on motor though. I mean I don't mind 2 stroke but would like to try 4 stroke. Also 50hp or 60hp?

    Anyway got several people intrested in my messed up one so hopefully it sells soon.

    60 hp on my G3 1756 4 stroke. 35 with just me. OK, but always want more. That 176 is gonna be a lot heavier, but think it's got a better hull design, so I'd expect about the same speed out the 176.

    G-3 is a nice boat especially for the price, but there are better out there when you get to the innerds. But I'm not gonna stop talking to you if you buy one.

    Go 4 stroke, or go home IMHO. But go big or go home too.

    Dont think the 60 is gonna be big enough for that heavy boat , may not hurt to step up one size.

    It is only rated for 60hp.

    Less flotation and gas tank mived to front like we use to do on mud boats. Dealer here said he gps it at 33 with a 2 stroke 50

    Here Is A very good boat. It's a foot wider across the beam and really steady. My dad has this boat and I have the older version. I got a buddy that has the eagle like you lookin at. He's prolly gonna sell his cause he's out grown it. He's got 2 boys and a 3rd on the way. If you want I can send you his number. You could at least talk to someone that's owned one.

    Minnerman are you sure he has the 176 and not the 175? Reason I ask is because the 176 is a new boat this year made for crappie fisherman.
