I hate there is this misconception about MCC regarding pros. When you guys figure out what a crappie pro is let me Know. Last time I checked even Capps & Coleman have day jobs!!! I know the pro stigma is there and it has been ever since I joined. At first I'll admit it intimidated me but after a short 6 years I feel I can compete with everybody in the club. I will say this the club is made up of some fine fishermen. Most of the guys are capable of winning a tournament at anytime!
I will say if you guys are letting the $90 keep you from fishing you are looking at it all wrong. If you fish the entire season you get allot of money back in points. There are also incentives when you bring in sponsorship monies. We also fish for somewhere around the $20,000 mark give or take a few thousand for a championship where we pay down 20 spots each day of the two day tournament. Each day is treated as a separate tournament and the highest combined weight of the two days gets an extra $500. Don't let the money scare you away is all I'm saying!
