    Cool Barnett Fruitjar info

Can anyone give me the low down on the May 8th fruitjar tournament on Barnett? We need to know where the registration site will be, what is the cost, what are the rules, and what is the weigh-in times. You can send this info to Bobby Cleveland and he might put it in the CL. There should be a good crowd.

    Default Barnett

It's 40 to enter and 10 more for BIG FISH. We haven't set the check in or weigh in location YET. Look at the off topic forum above and we have all the rules. You weigh 7 fish

Default I'd have to say either

Cock of the walk or Rankin landing on the East side of the dam. Think there's a fee if you weigh in at Tommy's or Browns. Besides, you can get anywhere you want to get on the rez in about 15 minutes from either of those places. IF I had to guess where folks were gonna be fishing at that time of year, I'd say Roses Bluff, 3 prong, Saw Dust and a couple of the old lakes like Rice and McMillan anyways and you won;t have to deal with the "S" curve this way

For the amount of boats you will have there isn't a fee. The fee is for tournaments over 50 boats and it goes to Pearl River. Now there is a permit required but I'm sure you guys have taken care of that. I may even fish this one!

    Default Hey Hugh

You scared Wannabe into getting with all the regulatory folks on all the lakes when you told him about Crappie Jail. LOL I'm betting on there being 30 boats in this one

Don you may surprise me but its hard to get 30+ boats in a crappie tournament. The most we have had this year is 41.

Default Think we had 20 something twice last year

and I know of a few from down here that will fish barnett that haven't fished any yet. Ya never know. At 40 bucks to enter and only 10 more bucks for big fish, it's cheaper and people will feel like they have more of a chance. Just me thinking out loud but the 90 Tourney fee plus 50 for joining the MCC and the insurance turns some folks off. yeh, the payout is ALOT bigger but alot of people can't afford 90 each time when they feel like they are just giving it away to a pro
