Shakespere said if I would send it back they would send me a new rod, but the shipping both ways costs more that the rod. Does anyone repair graphite rods in central MS?

I don't know of anyone in my area. You could take a piece of another rod and make a sleeve and epoxy into place. I have done this in the past and it worked but you compromise the integrity of the rod. Sometimes it makes a rod feel better and sometimes you wate your time cause the rod feels to stiff in the middle and to limber on the end. I have had better luck throwin em away and buying new ones. This gives you an excuse to buy a new one. Just my 3cents.
You're probably right MM. Just strip the eyes and can the rest.

Next time get a BnM. That way if it gets broken you can get one locally.

Buy a B&M pole from Grizzly and buy an extra tip section with it.That way if you break it you can keep on truckin'.
Grizzly probably has replacement tops for that pole. Call em.
Other than that, strip the eyes, chunk the tip and save the bottom section.
