OK got the RAM mount installed, Transducer mounted on the back of the boat, GPS puck mounted and it powered up. Everything checked on on the test so I headed out to the Ice lake Formally called Ross Barnett. There's ice on either side of Pelahatchie Bay Causeway for 200 foot either side of the road and Rankin Country landing has a foot of ice on the ramps. OK, I turned it on and you can see a bunch of scratchy lines on it. Bout it. BTW, BLUE is a hard color to see in full sunlight, got to get a cover for it like Sat and I was talking about the other day. Anyways, something's not set right but least it's 80% hooked up. I'm not securing the cables until I get it working properly. Only take me abuot an hour to finish everything though

    Default Didn't get a pic

but if you look at the last Pic that Minner posted with the lines across it, my entire screen was filled with lines like that. I also was getting eratic depth readings. I was compairing it to the Lowrance a couple times to check it out and it would read 2 foot when the Lowrance had 20 foot deep. MAYYYY have something to do with the transducer. It's wierd cause there's NO WAY it's supposed to just just flop up and down. There's no way to lock it in position and hold it there. It's got a long screw that holds it to the mount and it just flops up and down. I'll do some reading today and check on that and see how to make a few adjustments

Yes, it should lock. My initial thoughts on why you're seeing lines:

    1) Ducer is tilting up because it's not locked either producing lines from bad angle or due to air getting under it while it's tilted.

    2) With the ducer in place and your motor trimmed down, do you have clearance from the back of the ducer to the foot on your motor if you look accross the transom on the trailer? My motor will interfere if I have it tucked, but then again, only one side of the beam gets intereferance....so that's prolly not your problem.

Therefore, I'm going with number 1.

Let's see pics of that install.

    Default Ooopsy. Lol

Guess what Sat? I DO have it on upside down.
With it flopping up and down, that'll cause alot of the problems I had with water depth and such I would imagine. BET it was pointing back behind the boat and I was see Prop Wash as well
