    Default 2009

What are your best memories from 2009?
I was just thinking about all the good times fishing last year.
Spring crappie camp at Sardis. Caught a bunch of crappie then had the cookout that night. Between Don Don, Slabologist, myself and a couple of others cooking and everyone visiting. Good to see Mr. Jim, Yikess, Rip-a-Lip, JWhite, Billbob, Crappieman 101, Mr. and Mrs. Pstone, Mr. and Mrs. Canepole, Mr. and Mrs. Crappie Stalker, Mr. and Mrs. Biggerjigger and everyone else. Everyone wondering who the heck this Wannabe newbe was and why wasn't he at camp?:p Beagle and I still talk about that trip and are already making plans to go to the next one. Fishing the FJ tournaments with Yikess and meeting and learning from some of the best crappie fishermen and women in Mississippi. Seeing a side of Don Don that I'm still trying to forget. Got to meet Big Crappie Max at Enid last spring. Super nice guy. I wish I had more time to fish with you. Yikess and me getting caught in a sudden "Holy crap" thunderstorm on Arkabutla with our rain gear in the truck. Man we got drenched. Visiting with Mr. Jim at Sardis and Arkabutla. What a great guy! I could keep going. What are some of your all's best memories from '09? I hope 2010 is twice as good for all of us. Happy New Year. Speck

had several good fishing trips with my father in law and other family, finding new places on the tombigbee river, talking to you guys and learning and sharing the knowledge base, and most of all my brother and his wife having me a niece after 7 years of trying

Default As it pertains to fishing...

Buying my new-to-me boat, catching, cooking, & eating my first crappie in many years, hooking up with you folks here on this forum and getting so much help from ya'll to get started. Met DonDon, & look forward to meeting many more of you in 2010.

Default Speck, that sho was a great time for me as well

I guess my best time this past year fishing was the Labor Day weekend when Nessa and I stayed at Grenada for 3 days. We brought home 54 and all of them had shoulders. Can't wait to see what 2010 has to offer

As far as fishing memories from this past year, me and SteveJ had a heck of a day on the Tenn Tom this past spring. We caught it just right.

I also had a great time at Pickwick this past spring catching a bunch of green trout (bass).

My best memories of the year though are of watching my kids grow. They are everything to me.

Well, I just have to interject that 2009 was a very good year for poo. Maybe the most poo-est ever.

    Top memories of 2009:

    1) 4 trips with my Dad. 3 where we actually caught fish, but the best one was the worst day of fishing. Had 7 fish by lunch when he had to go in and everyone of 'em, he caught. Ya'll just think I can sling some poo, but that man is THE MASTER POO SLINGER!

    2) A whole bunch of trips with the Bes. The best one was where they let me drive the boat once. Woo-hoo.

    3) Even had 1 trip with Is. The fishing surked, but the company was spectacular.

Oh yeah, C.Cers were kind of ok to meet at the FJs too.

I guess other than all the Fruitjars, my favorite memories of 2009 would have to be the Sardis camp when Ms Bigger caught her first crankbait crappie and the trip in AAug when me and Bill Dance limited in 2 hours on grenada with alot of 2 pound pluss fish.
    Stick yo jig in there!
