Went out just walkin around with my little hoodlum over the weekend -
planned just an easy walk-around to look for sign and where to put some
stands. But no, she insisted on crossing the creek. I told her it was thick
and full of briars, but no, we GOTTA go across. After wading through
thickets for about a half-mile, crossed back over. Probably 30' straight
down and up, got in the bottom and I started up the other side with two (2)
rifles around my neck (why'd I even bring one?) anyway, she says you're
gonna have to help me. I sez, if I can climb this bank with 15 lbs of rifles
around my neck at 40+ yrs. old, surely you can empty-handed at 13.
Got about halfway up, and the ICANTS started. Told her ICANT never
could do nuthin, but if she couldn't get out I'd bring a biscuit and throw down
to her later  She finally managed to climb out and begin to walk
back to the four wheeler, then the MYFEETAREHURTING started, which
    I accompanied with some micro-air-violin :p

same with mine, he ended up with one big doe but tried for 3. That 7mm-08 was singing this morning! But DonDon, I am just about ready to take your advice. I would like to at least get one on the ground this year, I have never gone a year without at least a couple.
