Thread: Anyone Shot Docks much around here?

    Don the docks on eagle will work for shooting. There is one with an octagon shape gazebo that usually holds fish.

    DD one method you might want to try is sling shooting use about a 4-5 ft. ultra light rod and a spinning reel spooled with 6 lb. line. Let out about 2 ft of line and leave the bail open hold the line with index finger, pull jig back till you get a good bow in the rod and let er go. Takes a little practice but aftera few tries you should be able to shoot a 1/16 jig 20/30 ft.

    Mr. Jim...That is what he is talkin' about it's called dock shootin' most places, guess you can call it sling shootin' too, but it's the same thing.

    Never done it for crappie but itworked good for bass and bream .

    It wasn't to hard to get up in there. Had a 16th oz jig on and it would hit the water and skip another 5 or 6 feet. I was getting under there about 20 feet or so, first time out. Just NO FESH though. LOL
