Funny you should mention othe ramps Feelay. Here's my final pic for the day...the North End of the levee, closest to the new campgrounds. Bunch of 'em are staying there, but I'm guessing with the high winds out of the East we've had, not many have used it until today. It's actually a really good ramp at this level, but completely unprotected. Should be OK IF the forecasted N and NW winds blow on Friday and Saturday.
You know, I was running some numbers...I figure the Main Landing can handle 125 boats. North End say 40. Wolf 50. That's only 215 slots for what I heard was 238 registered entrants, although the newspaper said 250. The main marina having 125 boats on it is going to be a cluster. Same with those number on the other 2 ramps. If people use the ramp correctly, Main can handle 4 boats launched at a time (they never use the ramp correctly). Wolf could do 2 at a time. The North End is strictly a single.
That only leaves Piney Woods, Graysport or Bryant and long runs in the dark if you try and beat out the crowds at the ramp. Think I'd take my chances on Wolf and plan to be there early if it were me. At least there, you have some parking options if the slots are full on the ramp parking lot.
Wannabe...
