That is why you should have a quality sleeping bag to keep you warm. Run the heater until you get ready to go to sleep shut the heater off and start it when you wake up in the morning. It doesn't take long to heat up a tent.

i wasn thinking that one could use one of those back heating pads. they "run" for 8 hours or so. you could place on in your bag to keep you warm. a pack of 3 costs about 7 bucks. i'm too scared to place any heater in a tent, unless it's electric, but then if you have electricity is it really camping! LOL! just kidding!

After all I still have to take my electric coffee pot.
NOw just to find someone to set the tent up load and unload the truck and clean the fish.

One thing to add to this, when we tent camped in deer season when I was
a kid, last thing before turning in, we all drew cards - low draw had to light
the heater in the morning :D Sometimes it took some sleeping bag to
sleeping bag kicks and foul language to make the lucky one get with the
    program the next morning.
