Default Did the price of gas change yur weekend plans

I was just wondering with the price jump in gas. If any one changed plans for the Holiday weekend.
I had to work yesterday[sunday] so it didn't change any I had . As well as work around the house today.
It seemed on the retail side we had a good week. Seems like we sold a lot more ground Beef rather then High end steaks.

It is definately changing my weekend plans. There was a weak storm front comming through Sunday. In normal times. I would have hit a small strip mine lake 50 miles from here at daylight, and fished for a couple hours at least. With $3.41 fuel, I got stubborn and stayed home.

Not me, I'm on call this weekend. However, the little boy who thinks he is in love with my daughter, his father owns a truck stop and said he thought gas was going down another 50 cents % gallon soon. Who knows.

No it didn't stop our plans for labor day. My family went down to our favorite lake and had a picnic at the beach house and the kids went swimming in the lake and at the pool. My oldest son and I went fishing this morning and then went to the clubhouse and had a picnic lunch with the rest of the family. After lunch I gave all the grandkids a ride around the lake in the boat. They thought it was great with all the boat traffic and the up and down in the boat and jumping the waves throwed up by the speed boats. After a fun ride they went back to the clubhouse and My son and I went back to fishing again. When I got home the grandkids had painted a picture of the fun day they had today, for Grandpa. Another day of special memories with the family. Hope everyone had a great day with their families.

..had no plans so none were changed. We are conscious of the gas prices though. We're being careful to reduce/combine trips to town. I'm proud to say my 9.9 Evinrude is a very gas wise toy . I got out for a short trip Sunday evening. We have neighbors who went to Jekyll Island. Instead of pulling their trailer with their Suburban, they changed their plans and just got a hotel room (cheaper than 7 mpg!). The price of gas is holding at $3 here.

Nah, long before any gas shortage, I decided "water holidays" were best
used for relaxing at home, and doing preventive maintenance on trucks,
boats, etc. Lakes are too crazy! I took out my radiator and replaced it,
and changed my fuel filter - too much fun

Well, stuck to my guns and stayed home the entire weekend. The gas prices dropped back to the slightly less insane $3.09. I missed fishing the weak storm front I would normally take advantage of for chasing decent bluegill. I forgot to mention that I am sort of retired and don't normally pay any attention to the day or holliday status. I simply watch the fronts and jump when I feel it's time. I'm fortunate to have a couple places where they don't get hit with the water fleas at all. There is not a no wake rule. You can go as fast in the float tube as you wish . :D :D :D :D
