Calm down brother. I am not advocating any of these terms, I'm just stating what I see. I know you cant afford to live on $8 an hour, I'm just saying that they can and will. I'm saying that the mexicans are not the problem, the business owners that hire them to save a dollar, and the politicians who think they should be allowed to stay and then clamor for their votes are to blame. My ancestors did arrive on a boat and I'm glad they did, even though I do not think it was right the way your ancestors were treated to get us to where we are but none the less, my family and I are enjoying the benefits that our immigrant ancestors fought and died for. A level playing field is a thing of the past and I'm not sure how level it once was cause I wasn't alive and conscious of things that far back. I have always known that the road was an uphill and thankless one with lots of unfair crap like immigrants being given tax free status by the government. If you expect the illegals to pay taxes because it's the right thing to do, look for them in line right behind the Enron crowd and Jack Abramoff.

I agree with you. Anyone, if legal is great. I definately have no problem with Mexicans. If I did me and my oldest Son sure wouldnt get along since he is half. Working over here legal is great but if anyone, not just Mexicans are here illegally, we should send them back. We wont solve our financial troubles instantly but we sure wouldnt hurt it.

I'm dead grateful for latin labor. NO body lays a concrete driveway better for cheaper. You want mulch spread in the snow, they'll do it! By law I have to be fair, but when possible I look for latin labor. No attitude, no gripes, no BS, just do the job, do it right. They have proved to be a reliable asset at the very least.

I think if we voted OUT all our reps in Washington and put in people that cared about America's people, we could turn things around. Then have our new reps pass a term limit bill. 8 years and they have to leave office and not lobby for 5.

They were saying the other day on the news to buy can goods and stock up to avoid the high increase sticker price, that way you can slowly work your way into the price increases that are coming.

Big E, I have a feeling that you are connected in the building trade one way or another. $15 an hour is peanuts for a hard working person. The people that hire the illegals to "save a buck" as you say are the problem. Not to mention, they tend to not give a care about quality at all. Most illegals can do alot of work, and fast, yet for the most part, their skills lack greatly. They are most likely charging the customer the inflated prices anyway and pocketing the money. There are those who have been forced to hire illegals just to be able to be competative. Our Gov won't do squat about them as the employers that do hold out SS and taxes on their checks only build up the federal coffers under someone elses name. There are cases where the IRS goes back on several people to collect taxes under their SS# and most of the times several are using the same SS#. Now for the $30 per hour people that are union, I've been in union shops and have seen how alot of them work. You have about 10% of the people doing 90% of the work. Those in management of a union shop know this to be true. Then, as a union member, you are only allowed to do X amount of work per day at that $30 an hour. Most of the union shops have good benefits to boot, but won't even begin to earn their paycheck. They think it's their job to just show up and punch a time clock. US automakers, airline mechanics/union employees are one reason these companies are in such big trouble to begin with. Top that off with the upper echelon of Management giving themselves those golden parachutes, no wonder American business is going to hell in a hand basket.

Those who hire illegal aliens to work for them and nothing but scum in my book and do nothing to contribute to the Nation other than pad their own billfolds.

I agree with crappie reaper, the ones that hire illegal aliens are scum.
If I didn't have to pay ss and income tax I could work for less. I do use Mexican gentleman in my business but all are legal.
In this part of Texas most of the illegals family's are on some type of Govt help that all of us pay for.
