Personally for me and my garden I keep all chemicals away from it. The flame when used regularly will kill the plants and roots with no leaves will eventually die. Another way is by using tarps to keep garden weed free. I don't trust or use roundup. I would use the vinegar and dish soap first if had to use chemical.
