Jury duty.

I found this humourous. A couple of days ago my son was called to jury duty. Most people just despise this task. During juror selection he was asked if he had any pre-determined opinions on the defendant. His answer was simple: Not really but I used to be a police officer and I know that they just don't arrest people unless they've done something wrong. He was immediately excused and thanked for stopping in today.

I've been called for it twice. Wound up getting picked both times. The most recent, a lawyer was in the group of prospective jurors. He stated he was familiar with both counsels, and the judge. Instead of excusing him immediately, they asked him more questions than anyone else.

I like your sons response, I was lucky last year, I kept coughing and they excused me.
