If you are a sportsman who loves to hunt, as well as fish, I have a recommendation for you. I have written about Jim Corbett many times in many other forums. He was the existential conservationist/naturalist of the early 1900's. He successfully hunted and killed more man eating tigers and leopards than any other man alive - past or present. I first read of Colonel Corbett back in the late 50's, growing up with an inherent desire to hunt & fish.
Back then I got a copy of his original book, "Maneaters of Kumaon", which I read cover to cover many nights in my teens, dreaming about the adventures of hunting dangerous game. I purchased his complete writings at the original Ambercromby & Fitch store, in Chicago, after boot camp in the 60's. Since then, I've recent found the Jim Corbett Omnibus on Amazon.com. This 4" thick hard cover book is printed exclusively in England and is still available for purchase (I've included a link). It is actually three books in one. An heirloom to be passed down to generations of younger sportsmen.
Recently I've found the original Hollywood movie depicting his life. Although considerably condensed and with less than technically superiority cinematography, than what is available today; it does tell the story of a man's true love of nature and of hunting and fishing prowness and determination.
The following is the "YouTube" link to that motion picture. Not a box office smash hit for sure, but it does give insight into this courageous man's life and his almost unbelievable accomplishments. And he did this, one on one, on foot, by himself, without assistance! If you have an opportunity to purchase this volume on his adventures, I assure you, you will come away with as deep a respect, for an outstanding sportsman, as I have.

Thanks for the info and link. Got a copy ordered. Remember reading some of his exploits when I was real young.
