Cheapest gas in my part of Texas is $1.80 a gallon if you pay cash or $1.81 if you use credit card.

Saw 1.93 a couple of days ago at my shell station. Back up to 1.99 yesterday. I've been paying 2.79 for non ethanol for my boat at the little country store where I live.

This morning the cheapest is 1.87 for regular and 2.17 for no alcohol in Houma area.

My local BP was down to 2.02 Wed then back up to 2.19 yesterday.

Why can prices drop so slowly then shoot back up overnight? Me thinks they have zero intention of ever letting prices get back down to stay.
