Prayers for my Brother Please... He needs them for sure

Please lift up my brother in your thoughts and prayers. He is only 57 years young and has (sadly) been fighting bladder cancer for the last two years (bless his heart) and has gone through all manner of chemo and bladder scrapings until his bladder has finally had all it could take. He was admitted to Duke University Medical Center this morning to have his bladder, lymph nodes, prostrate removed... as well as to be fitted for the external urine bag.

This is a very drastic and traumatic procedure (especially for someone who has been through all that he has) as the surgery itself is very invasive and takes between 5 and 7 hours to complete. He is out of surgery now and is in critical care for the next day or so... (if all goes well)... is in for a week to ten day stay in the hospital... and then has a 6 week or so overall recovery time once he gets to go home.

My brother has been a great fishing partner and the best of friend to me... and trust me... this whole thing is really very heavy on his family and this man's very heart and soul... but, I believe all things are possible through prayer and that all of our prayers will surely bring him through this very difficult and trying time.
