Both my cars are over 10 years old which means my headlights are cloudy. I had tried a couple of the bottled "fixes" that they sell at the Auto Parts store, none of which worked.
I saw this at Lowes the other day in the section where the sandpaper pads are displayed and decided to try it and by golly it works!
You have to take your time and keep the headlamp wet while sanding, but it will clean it up good as new. One note though, I went through 3 battery charges in my cordless drill by the time I did both cars. Took about 30 to 40 minutes per car.
There are 3 grades of sandpaper (800, 1500 and 2000) plus a buffing pad and some polishing compound.
Cost of kits was $20. It will do several cars.
