Yes sir Cane Pole, I am with you On this. I had to fight tooth and nail to get mine....was told as soon as it was decided what percentage of disability I was to get, A lump sum check would be issued. Well that time came and went. I got a package of paper work informing me that back when I got out of the service at the end of desert shield on the Clinton administration military draw down, all the money I received for them buying out my contract had to be recouped before I could receive a dime. It has been over a year and a half now and I am supposed to receive what's left next month after they get the last amount....they said if they were to go ahead and give me my disability payments with out collecting what they gave me getting out, it would be double dipping...yet I know of veterans who have retired and are receiving both retirement checks and disability checks, both from the V.A.. Now if that's not double dipping what is???? Every time I call and ask about what is going on with my paper work, I get different answers. It is my belief that these so called veterans who work the call centers do not try to help you get what you justly deserve simply because no one was willing to help them. Least wise that's been my experience anyway. Didn't mean to make this so long, nor take away from your thread. I do apologize... hope you all have a great evening....Eric
