If I could explain it technically, I would..........but, since I can't, I won't. I had never tried 7, but did try 8 and did not like it at all. Windows 7 is more like XP Pro and
I'm told Windows 7 Ultimate is the cats meow. I'll vouch for Windows 7 Ultimate, but not Windows 8. Then again, I'll stand on my not so sophisticated soap box and tell
it the best I can. When you can't dazzle 'em with your brilliance, you got to baffle 'em with your B.S. I just love your flag (signature).......still.

I finally got a laptop yestiddy. Viao in a metal case on sale (ultra book). I7 Intel proc, 8gig ram, 1T hdd, Win 8.1, Touchscreen. I configured sys to boot to desktop just like XP. I made a folder for shortcuts on the desktop. Until I get use to 8.1, I will just put common stuff used in the shortcut folder after I fill the taskbar with shortcut icons. No windows 7 systems available. If I get too pizzed, I will take it back. Have to Jan 25.

I'm wondering how long they will keep updates and patches for 7...they just pulled the rug out from under XP. I'm sure trying to push everyone to 8. I hope they keep updating 7 as I REALLY do not like 8. Does ANYONE out there like 8?? If so tell me why. My wife is needing a new laptop and I'm really trying to find 7, but like CP said, you can't find 7 anymore.

But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 25:15

Going to Best Buy tomorrow and look see.
If you know XP you will pick up Windows 7 quickly. Windows 8 is NOT an easy transition from XP. I replaced my old PC w/ XP with a new one running 7 and am VERY happy.
