Not everybody can get a CHCL with only the criteria you list. If you are habitual drunk, two or three DUI...misdemeaners..public drunks...this brother will not get a CHCL. Possibly involutarily nut house rehab.
One thing for sure, a person that gets a legal carry license better put in a lot of time researching this topic. And I mean a lot of hours. Even if you shoot someone rightfully so, its possible you are going to drop 10 to 20k in lawyers fees.
I personally fill comfortable knowing that there may be others like myself carrying guns out in public.
As far as shooting someone inside a restaurant, I think I can get a head shot pretty quickly, 5 to 7 seconds. Gotta practice and practice often.

Nobody hating on you, it is your right to spend your money where you wish. If that business can't defend me, I can't patronize or trade with them.

88 whiners and here I am with no cheese! Never gave it a thought really, but it would make people and business owners think. Carry or not carry. Open or not at all. Yes, or no. Do you want my money or not!? OK.
I don't conceal, I don't personally carry at all, except, a pump shotgun that goes where I go, but I never carry it in a store. I don't think that would matter to me,,... if I need it, and they got it, I'll buy it. Simple and as complicated as that. If someone went crazy in a store with other people in it and some carry conceal permit holder had a gun and went blazing away to shoot the nut, innocent people could get hurt! The carry conceal instructors can see if you shoot accurately , and can safely handle a gun, but what is left out,,... is the training to know what to "do" to kill someone,,..lawfully!,,... and still be safe so that others don't get hurt! Sure a person has a right to protect himself but it is different when some thug is hurting others to know when and how to safely, (towards non targets),,... inact deadly force! Anyone who does not have a mental problem or addicted to drugs or a felony arrest record or what ever,,... can get a concealed carry permit,,... saw them advertised for $75 locally today in a paper. How many out of a hundred, that hit a bulls eye, center mass, on target, and could "accurately" shoot a person to death, really knows what is the law when you shoot a person to death, and how many would just shoot so that they could say they shot someone that was robbing a store or a bank or whatever. Nope, on that issue it don't matter, I will shop where I need to, anti or not, concealed or not,,...but I ain't no whiner, nor anti-gunner! Good luck on your project though. IMO,,.. Am I off subject here stating my opinion? If I am then so be it, these are my feelings on it.

You can what if something to death, but its your responsibility to protect your family. We carry in South Ga. Weird how we haven't had crazy gunmen problems. Strange how the areas with strict gun laws have most gun violent crimes. Maybe cause criminals feel safer. I don't go to Chicago, New York, D.C. and many other places because I do not have the right to defend myself! This is ignorant and UN-AMERICAN! Anyone who owns a gun and doesn't know who to use it shouldn't carry, but this is the minute few of gun owners. Most practice regularly! Now that shotgun you carry may get more than the criminal, but a handgun is not. Stop watching movies! There is a time to engage and time not to.

Maybe someone on drugs but any sane person is not going to walk in anywhere they know their are people carring firearms,Wal-mart,post office.They are looing for places where they don,t and can not carry!!! You walk in my business un invited and you will meet Colt and Mr Taurus!!!! Thanks for the Post!!!! The only way to stop a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun!!!!!

Well I just thought you guys might like this website. I'm going to start asking the managers of the places I frequent...if they are available...about my posting the business on this website.

I know hundreds of crappie fishermen travel over several states and information like this might help them. I personally have not had a problem yet.
