I remember years ago I watched a movie about Francis Farmer, played by Jessica Lange. I think the title was " The postman aways rings twice" Back in the day I guess it wasn't politically correct for a woman to be outspoken, the movie depicted her to be. This was when i first learned about Lobotomys. Since then I have always said before they let hardened thugs out of prison, this procedure should be done. It sure would cure a lot of our problems. That, or start caning those azzes in teenage years, it would have stopped me from doing what I did, though dad died and the azz killings stopped...whew

I think that is part of the problem now, the younger generations have not and do not receive enough "whippings" as some of us older farts/geezers/what ever you want to call us generation. Granted, what we got for our some of our mis-deeds would be considered child abuse now, and maybe it was/was not, the punishment I got from my parents made me a better person and provided me with the ability to tell right from wrong (in most cases anyways). Teaching the young people the difference between right and wrong and the consequences of wrong would go a long ways in making this country a better and safer place for all. It ain't all about "me" and how "I" feel, getting depressed about something does not give anyone the right to harm anyone else.
    GO BIG ORANGE !

I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.

I remember going to visit family members in the hospital as a kid. A heavy odor of bleach and alcohol. Most everything was made of cotton. To cut some cost, most everything is paper fiber now. Very little odor in the air.
When my youngest was released from the hospital (mid 80s) for burns and grafts, his bath had 1 pint of 90% alcohol and 2 tablespoons of bleach. His laundry had 1 quart of 90% alcohol and 1/4 cup of bleach added to it. No clue of how it's being treated these days.

I have healthy amounts of doubt for all these "statistics" and stories, and I try to verify each one. While I haven't located the origin of this one yet I did find this scary website.

espically the ones commited by drug dealers.....violent repeat offenders........and the insane psychopaths....who tend to prey on the weak, or comit their cowardly acts where they know they will not encounter an armed individual...........I have an idea, lets all practice our 2A rights......fight crime, shoot back.......to think that a government that can not run any program with out screwing it up, can not figure out how to stop spending more money than it has, and is full of individuals who make careers by doindg said things has the answer in the form of gun control is a very naive and simplistic train of thought......on a side note all these people who intentionally kill with a firearm are unfazed by laws against those actions, call it a hunch, but I bet they will ignore any attempt at gun control also......I wish common sense was not a dying thing in our beautiful nation

"Dying" implies currently in the process........dead, gone and in the ground would be much more accurate.

Fact is more people are beat to death with baseball bats than are shot. How come your not trying to ban baseball bats?
