Gun control versus freedom of the press etc?

I feel the same, but who and how is the determination made? That's the $64,000 question. As it stands now, Ya can't violate the right to free speech gun ownership or personal privacy. As in the title to one of Jack Nicholson's movie's, "Somethings Gotta Give".

It's not hard, we have laws already. You kill someone, you pay with your life, don't pass go, don't collect $200.

Stupid Games? I don't think 20 kids lives were part of a monopoly game. Lanza paid with his life, how'd the law protect anybody? Pretty sad commentary.

To answer your original question - NO. Where do you draw the line when you censor the media? And who determines where this line is drawn? You? Our government? Sad indeed with this line of thought, dangerous as well. 1+1=3 so they were told. I will continue to support the Bill of Rights, and will stand behind it 100%.

Where in the world are you getting this from? Did I say anything to indicate 20 slain children were anything remotely related to a "game"? That makea about as much sense as claiming you're against the US Constitution.

In the long term, what do you feel would reduce the crime rate in the US?
Gun control or censoring the news media, entertainment industry and video game manufacturers from all the violent crap that is fed to our people everyday?
I don't know about anybody else, but those violent TV shows and movies don't leave me feeling all rosy and calm after watching them. Actually I won't watch them anymore. I won't watch the TV news with them 24/7 reporting on the murder of 26 innocent people either. Report it once, I don't need to see it day after day. I think we would see a dramatic reduction of crime in the long term if we stopped feeding the violence to people and children, and instead promoted more pleasant entertainment. The news and movie folks are on a roll for gun control, I think the American public should be on a roll to censor them.

Why in the sam hill would any one in their right mind look to or trust the govt with censorship of any kind......these are the same group of knuckleheads who cant figure out how to not spend more money than they bring in.....and cant run ANY program sucessfully......yea, no thanks. Censorship of any kind is dangerous, esp in the hands of a large group of over all failures......i have a novel idea, lets just stick to the constitution and all the freedoms it affords us
