How did he get out of his car walk into a school with black pants, bulletproof vest, two guns without someone seeing him at 9:30 in the morning?????? A man walks up your driveway to your door with a bulletproof vest, two guns you going to let him in your house without asking for a badge or some I.D.!!!!!!! or your school you might let him in. I will not without a fight he may get me but not until I have died trying to stop him!!!!!! Something wrong nobody tried to stop him from getting in the school!!!!!!!!! Tried to stop him after he entered the school!!!!

From what I can gather this guy had some sort of problem that started at home,possibly several years before this tragedy happened.Did he not send out some kind of signal that something was going on inside his brain? If so why did no one pay attention and act on the clues he was throwing out?.Who dropped the ball?who failed?.I read about this and wonder why no one tried to do something,,Its usually said,,Oh I didn't think he would do anything like this,,Or,,I would never have thought this would have happened,Get real people,Its going on everyday,,Who is to blame?.his mother for owning a gun?.Her son for going on a killing spree?,,The gun its self?..If so lock up the gun,,Give it a speedy trial and condemn it to death,,Or should we go back and look a little deeper and see where the problem really started,I have children and grandchildren and it makes me sick to think that this could have happened to me,,But,If someone had paid attention and acted on the signals this guy was probably throwing out right and left maybe this terrible senseless act could have been prevented

From what i heard, he forced his way in. They said he had a bulletproof vest on, but being CT in the winter time, one has to considered if he had his coat on over that. And its easy to conceal to handguns, even with extended magazines, if your wearing a coat. Though it does make you look a bit bulky and suspicious, it doesn't make you threatening.

I support folks owning firearms, and carry and conceal, but only if you take the responsibility and have the common sense of owning a gun.

I too support conceal and carry but was told during training when and where I can carry my firearm also am updated!!!! I have read and tried to listen to the news reports a lot of info has been left out.We pick our granddaughter up each day at school and if we go into the school for any reason pick up books,talk with teachers ect we are met usually at the door by someone teacher,school offical of some sort.How can anyone walk from a parked car or truck in the school parking lot or school zone and not be noticed is my question???? Looks like someone should have seen him walking up to the school door and acted got some sort of I.D. before he got into the school!!!!!

We sure get a lot of misinformation from the news sources. Most are harping on gun control. They oughta be harping on nut control. The pea brains on MSNBC are frothing at the mouth or their arz, whichever.

Yeah and what is sad we are reacting to it. You know my wife is a elementary school teacher. We know each others hearts...like some of us do in here...and have been talking about the gun control issue, when we shouldn't be, the last I heard those poor babies are still in a made up morgue inside the school. This could have been my wife.
I hope and pray for peace to those families of lost loved ones. I hope and pray for those who had to see the evil aftermath.
I want to know what kind of drugs this kid was on. Obiviously, he had mental issues. Probably , like most should have been institutionalized, but, we humans being smart as we are thinks a pill is the cure all coupled with chatting with some government health official. I can't help but think someone had to have known about this kid mental health.
I do not keep my guns controled, I will buy a safe ASAP. One nevers knows
