With that line of thinking, do you believe we should make alcohol illegal again? I seriously doubt you or anybody else believe our highways are free of pot smokers now... I personally believe the war on drugs is causing us more grief than the drugs themselves.

I cringe every time I here the term "gun control". In this country that means telling citizens what type of weapon they may possess and what type they may not. I feel that LAW ABIDING citizens should have the right to possess any weapon of their chioce. If gun laws reduce the number of legaly owned guns this country is going to become a killing field for criminals. There are NO laws made that a criminal will abide by. They will take any means needed to carry out their crime. A criminal can aquire a gun at any time he pleases without any form background check. And guess where that gun comes from. Another criminal. This country can try and ban guns but it will do no good. How long has cocaine,meth,crack and the like been illegal? And still illegal drugs are everywhere. Anyone who feels that gun control will help this country and its' citezens is out of their mind. It will only help the criminals by lessening their fear of being shot by legally armed citizens. I control all the guns I own and that is the only gun control I care about!! Disclaimer: This is only my opinion which in this country I have the right to as does every other citizen .

We need to unite as parents,americans go to our schools during school hours."I know some of us parents wait in our cars to pick up our kids after school" and if we can walk into the school without someone asking us who and where we are going we need to go to the authorites,School authorites, right then and find out how this could happen!!!!! Quit trying to blame someone and take control of our school system and get the proper protection for our kids!!!!!!!! We as parents are going to have to take a stand or this is going to keep happening!!!!! We cannot depend on our school system to protect or KIDS!!!!!!

These are my thoughts exactly. Drugs are illegal, and I could probably go find some right now without starting the truck. Guns aren't going to stop being made, therefore illegal or not, people will always get their hands on them. Banning firearms would only hurt, the innocent parties.

there is no publicity on how many lives or injuries have been saved by law abiding citizens .

I've watched a good bit of the TV coverage of the school shooting, and two people keep popping up. One is a congresswoman from NY whose husband was shot years ago. The other guy was a student who survived the Va Tech shooting. The MSM never interviews people who have defended themselves with a gun.

My thinking is solid. That is why I have entered into my 7th decade. I could care less if people wanna kill themselves with liquor or drugs. Just don't murder me and my family.

It truly is a sad day our hearts and prayers go out to those that have lost love ones!!!!Who? Let the FOX in the hen house our tax dollars are paying to protect our KIDs!!!!! Who was watching that let a man or anybody gets past securty into the building a man walks into a school building with( 2 gun's),baseball bats,spears, bombs,weapons!!!! Who was watching !!!!!Were was the security camera's!!!! Who was watching!!!!!!.I have worked as a security guard someone was asleep!!!!!WHO WAS WATCHING!!!!! are we going to let someone walk into our homes and schools with guns are any weapons!!!!! Who was watching our kids!!! We need to go to our schools as parents and see Who is watching over our kids at School!!!! Are we so involved in our teaching that we can't see a man walking into a school with 2 gun's!!!! Who is watching our kids!!!!!!How did this happen!!!!! Something is wrong in our school systems that cannot see a man walk in the front door which should have been locked or key coded,cameras, with two guns,spears,bombs,weapons!!!! I think you've overlooked the obvious....

We didn't have cameras, guards, metal detectors, etc. when I went to school, and I don't recall ever hearing of a school shooting, and there were plenty of weapons around then, same as now, and production numbers don't matter, because a mental case only needs 1 or 2. I even recall seeing rifles in rear truck windows hanging in a gun rack in the school parking lot.

So what does that tell you?

Society has changed, it has not a single thing to do with guns, they just happen to be the weapon of choice. More cameras, more guards, more whatever isn't the answer.

I wouldn't put it past the powers that be to initiate any of this to further their agenda. Before you think how crazy an idea that may sound, they didn't have a problem doing it with Fast and Furious, and I'll guarantee their "morals" certainly haven't gotten any better since then.

There are Millions of people entering into their 7th decade. I'm sure it's their Solid Thinking that has made it all possable.
