    Default name that tool!


    i got a toolbox at a garage sale and it has a drill chuck in it that has a 1/2" square drive recess like for a ratchet. What the heck is it for?

    It's an adapter that allows you to use a 1/2 inch drive impact driver as a hammer drill.

    will post a pic when camera shows up hopefully mon.
    wouldnt think a 3 jaw chuck wouldnt hold up very well with an impact driver. guess i can add it to my rock climbing stuff, lol.
    my dad though is was for use with an impact wrench
