Yep I'm sure glad you were never excited angry and upset with the previous administration. I'm detecting a real change of attitude on your part about folks beings excited, angry and upset with the administration since you seem to be attributing a lack of character towards those currently excited, angry and upset. It just seems like you are only concerned about the fact of one being excited, angry and upset and have no concerns about the reasons, whys and wherefores for that excitement and anger.

Yeah one of those people having a tremendous respect and admiration for this country's founders and the founding principles instituted by the Declaration of Independence and the US Constitution that gave us stunning notions like; inalienable rights to life liberty and the pursuit of happiness, the rule of law, separation of powers and a representative republic where the elected rule with our consent under constitutional constraints and limited government.

Now we have statist progressives saying phooey to the outdated 200 plus years old constitutional notions and that with our advances in science and technologies and where limited government is now a detriment towards achieving the ideal utopian society and that human nature has advanced where the elected will no longer be prone towards tyrannical tendencies as they were faced with like people were in earlier ages.

The founders understood that historically the only real detriments towards individuals finding their own meaning and purpose and happiness in life was oppressive government as it coerced individuals to abandon their own goals and spend their lives working for others imposed goals meaning that the individual's life did not belong to the individual but belonged to his neighbor, society, the tribe or the collective.

The progressives don't recognize a individuals right to exist for his own sake and think they know better how that individual should spend his life and will readily use coercion to compel the individual to comply-- and you seem surprised that someone would get excited angry and upset when they are being coerced towards non-chosen goals. Yep I sure wish you could point out how someone like me is a threat to anybody else and their life and liberty.

Do you ever notice how all the complaints we hear about people not crossing the isle for compromise is about the republicans not crossing the isle as though the democrats are always crossing the isle to compromise with the republicans.

What this is telling you if you are listening is that they don't wanty to get the economy and country moving forward to improve the problems that we are having now. EB

And here is a defining characteristic of why you are a statist where you think the state is all important in taking care of our individual problems and where I think the individual best knows his own problems and should be left free to take those actions he thinks is necessary to solve those problems. It wasn't the government that guided and directed this country where the standards of living were so greatly improved and where all the wealth was produced it was because the government left the people free to percolate amongst themselves towards solving their own problems and creating wealth. What we need is for the government to just get the hell out of the road and leave the people free to take care of themselves.

They want only their ideas put forth and implymented. They are their own worst enemy. If they get a Republican controlled Congress along with the Presidency, this country will go back to slavery and it will be those who have-against those who don't. EB

You just continue this looney notion that those who have must have taken it away from someone else when in fact they have it because they produced or earned it. You just see the country as the pie is what it is and needs to be equitably divided up when in fact the we must be left free to make more pie.
