I'm like Pappy, I don't have my CCW. But I can carry as long as it's visible. I fish with several people who always have one. I have recently thought about getting my CCW. This old world isn't geting any better. Keep most of mine in the safe.

Just an FYI. I called the Corp of Engineers here in KY since most of the lakes are theirs and was told it was illegal to "carry" regardless of the Concealed Carry Permit unless (1) It was during a legal hunting season and (2) you were within a designated hunting area. You might want to consider doing some research yourself and you do not have to give your name when calling. Also keep these things in mind, it is called a "Concealed Carry Permit" for a reason, they are unlikely to search you unless you give them a reason, and for them to fine and punish you, you need to be alive. Just my thoughts.

Oklahoma recently passed an "open carry" bill. Those who have a CCW can soon legally open carry their sidearm. One of the reasons this bill was introduced was to stop silly fines of those carrying concealed, yet at some point someone else saw the weapon and complained to authorities. These folks were being fined for not properly concealing their weapon. I personally like the element of suprise and would keep mine concealed. On a boat, I think I'd have to leave it open as long as it was legal to do so.

"rather be judged by 12, than carried by 6"...its been quoted many times, but its truth has never faded.
I dont carry very often, but when i feel the need, i do so, regardless permits and reciprocity laws.

Indiana is just a License to Carry, doesn't need to be concealed (though 99% of the time I do).

I got mine most the time. TN has a carry permit like Indiana. I gotta big cannon. Can't conseal it and it pulls you britches down. Been looking at a smaller 6 shooter.
