Not sure about how much juice you use per day. However I boat camp in primative sites all teh time, no power and no truck in campsite. My batteries last all weekend. I also leave my Minomizer running no-stop all weekend.

I'm not a troller. I motor to where I want to fish, kill the main and use my troller to buzz the honey hole, and hten set-up my anchors. Last time out, I did troll for about 4 hours in the wind, troll up wind and let it carry me back downwind, repeat. Still had about 75% power left Sunday night.

i really dont want to go thru all that hassel...my batteries arent the easiest thing to get in/out of the boat but it is do-able... i did think about it and i will take some cables in case it comes down to that

edit: Second thought 15 watts is 1.2ah and typically GOOD sun is only 5hrs per day so 6 amps is all its good for...I think.

i saw these solar panel chargers on the net while surfing around for ideas.......gonna go to Batteries Plus this weekend to see if they carry them and you're right, they cost about the same

I use this method when camping and need to charge the battery in the pop-up. Made a long extension that goes from the trailer connection on the back of the Suburban to the camper. Does a good job.
