Very interesting video made of some pictures taken from the Hubble Telescope.
Caution, the subject could make some try to think too much trying to understand it.

“There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide.” Ayn Rand
I saw this on the news. Mighty long tape rule to measure the distance. I love science and math.

This stuff is pretty cool -- always enjoy when Discovery Channel does shows on astronomy.
Scientist state (as fact) that the universe is 13.7 Billion years old....

What if you had a spacecraft, with unlimited fuel and the ability to avoid objects in space, you launched it going in one direction. Where would it stop??? Would it run into a wall?? If it run into a wall what would be on the otherside of the wall?? Would it go on for ever?? Just a thought. What do you think???
How about the Earth being like a flat stone skipping across the water. Every once in a while you hit the water and have a (Great Flood). Then it's back into the air waiting for the next skip. hum
You can't finish what you don't start
As for me the shape of the earth is not in doubt but saying the shape of the universe is flat is something else and very interesting.
How do we know the universe is flat? [VIDEO]

I've always been somewhat confused by the definitions of
"Universe" = All known matter resulting from the big bang ????
"Cosmos" = Everything else on out further ad infinitum ???? (especially space where no matter exists = how far ????? (and how could it be flat if it's everywhere)
Please explain this to me,
Tx's .....
"Teach a man to fish = he can feed himself "
"Teach the world to fish = you won't have any fish left to eat "
Best I could do for Universe Universe - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
and Cosmos is Cosmos - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
just the kind of stuff that tends to keep me occupied while it's iced up here where I'm not even catching any fish through holes in the ice.![]()
But it sure is
stuff.
