    Default Ultra Deep Space

Very interesting video made of some pictures taken from the Hubble Telescope.
Caution, the subject could make some try to think too much trying to understand it.

Perhaps something like this fascinating video.

How large is the universe? [VIDEO]

I saw this on the news. Mighty long tape rule to measure the distance. I love science and math.

This stuff is pretty cool -- always enjoy when Discovery Channel does shows on astronomy.

    Default What if???

What if you had a spacecraft, with unlimited fuel and the ability to avoid objects in space, you launched it going in one direction. Where would it stop??? Would it run into a wall?? If it run into a wall what would be on the otherside of the wall?? Would it go on for ever?? Just a thought. What do you think???

If you watched the video, it explains that it was estimated at that number by the number of light years it takes for the light of the galaxies to reach earth (or in this case, the Hubble telescope). Light is how time can be measured through space. In other words, what we are looking at in the video, is what those galaxies looked like 13.7 billion years ago. So, if that's the case, it's actually older because there is "X" amount of time it took for those galaxies to develop in the first place.

Maybe the edge of the universe is merely a giant mirror and we're looking back on ourselves?

Perhaps we're only a cancerous cell inside some giants tumor?
