I like John Grisham. However, his latest books seem to be lacking in the inspiration part. His first few books kept me glued to the book, but his later ones lost some of the mojo. I guess mojo has been replaced with mulo.

We pick up some good books at yard sales.

Stephen Kings "Dark tower series" Was about six books with 600 pages apiece in book format. Loooooooong story that plays off his other books.
The last cattle drive is good
    The man that rode midnight
The Clan of the Cavebear and the rest of that series (earthchild) or something like that
Anne Rice vampire stoies, or anything by Louis Lamour

Good to see fellow readers here. I was beginning to believe it was a lost art form.

Hopefully the digital book systems will make reading more palatable for the young folks. I keep my Kindle books on my Iphone, and read whenever I'm waiting in line, at the Dr's office, or anyplace I have time to kill.

In addition to Sanford, Burke, Crais, Grisham, & others already mentioned here I like Ridley Pearson, Phillip R. Craig ( J.W. Jackson murder mysteries with fishing & recipes thrown in), Michael Connely, & Stephen Hunter (you gotta' love those Bob Lee Swagger sniper stories).

Also like true crime stories, mountain folklore, & history, especially people & places near where I live.

My local Borders closed down, and I was able to pick up a new hard copy edition of "Death in the Long Grass" for a couple of bucks. It will replace my tattered paperback copy. :D

I need to lose some weight, so I just finished Gary Taubes "Why We Get Fat: And What to Do About It". Very good book.

I also got Art DeVany's "The New Evolution Diet" to go with the Taubes book.
