You will have to get your uric acid down or your gout will never get better. My Dr. perscribed a medication called sulindac for the artritus part then to get uric acid down he perscribed allopurinol. Have not had a gout problem in several years after I got my uric acid down to 5.5 Now I can eat anything with out a problem.
