When we were kids we were in all the Berry patches or fruits to make Jellies --- However close to the Lake were enermious Blackberry Patches with berries half the size of your thumb but as large around. we Picked all Mom Wanted then sold the rest by the Gallon -- I still remember seeing those Red Bugs so thick you could see them climbing up and scrape them off with a knife Blade to see the skin below --- those berry patches were full of Rabbits of all sizes --- with the making of Blackberry Jelley us Boys got to skim the seeds off the top and lick the spoon when not being watched. But Mom and Grandma never made us a Berry pie with just the Dew Berries.. So - this was my First one in 71 Years, and was not what I expected --- because when the Pie cooked the seeds in each Ripe berry disappeared while being Baked -- There are just enough to pick and get one more Dew Berry Pie then all the Bkackberries will be getting ripe
