School started back up this week. I'm teaching Drilling Engineering this semester. I flat out tear this up, I know this business. ABET likes when the the instructor to student ratio is low. Thus five sections are offered, 30 max students per section. Engineering (within the department and college) is much different than the liberal arts and general studies such as math, physics, etc. Two hour sections each. I walk around talking about the class/lab up and down with a dry marker in my hand - then approach the dry erase boards to make a point. Some folks stand behind a podium to give a lecture. Not me, I interact. Plus, I likes walking around being heard.

Have had several students thus far say when they leave the lecture - 'Mr. Randy, I'm looking forward to listening to you this semester".

I come home with a smile on my face, ready to do it again. These kids are fun. it's going to be a while before I retire.
