They are getting pretty common as of late. They used to be found along the Texas coast and sometimes in southwestern La. but they have moved eastward. We have plenty of them in Houma. the visit the overflow pound 1 block from my house and just this past week I saw 4 of them land in a large oak tree on my neighbor's property. They are also tasty.
