What kind of bird is this?

Yea PawPaw, I remember when they first started showing up around this area and most of the other duck hunters weren't aware of what they were yet so I would watch them fly straight over them without them taking a shot, needless to say they weren't quite so lucky when they flew over our blind. And yes they are very tasty!

Very cool, thanks fellas. Once Marty mentioned Mexican Squealers and Joe mentioned Rockport, TX (which I've been to several times), it rung a bell. Looked over my walls, in which we have several pieces of artwork, pictures, etc. and found this:
