Thanks for thinking of us. I'm south of the area hit by 30 miles but that was still close. That was the worst tornado activity I've ever recalled and I lived here all of my life. We did have a bad tornado hit during hurricane Betsy but this was different, more like the one that develop in Texas and OK. Thanks for joining us in prayers for the families that lost love ones and for those who suffered the lost of so much property. I don't understand the fact that only 2 lives were lost when I view all the damage that was done.

Gene, it's only by God's grace that more lives aren't lost during thes storms. Had one come about 15 miles from me a few weeks ago and killed 3. It ran a path from the delta about 150 miles on the ground all the way to NE corner of the state. Think we lost 5 total and very few hurt. Tremendous damage just like in your area. Saw on news last night a young couple with 3 little ones who were in a 30 ft travel trailer. It was completely destroyed and they had not a scratch. If that is God's hand covering them.

I live in St James parish we were thankfully spared but I am very angry. On the first thursday of the month they test the emergency sirens and speakers it always makes the dogs howl and Peg and I call it the Thursday sing along and howl with them. Sadly while tornadoes passed by no alarms sounded and we cant help but wonder if lives coulda been saved had they sounded.

Know about the howling....me and wife howl with 'em on Wednesdays up here at the top of 'ssippi! I agree w/ you on LEMA not sounding those sirens. Somebody ought to have called them out on that one! Glad ya'll made it thru safe.

Had a tornado come through my hometown here in Michigan last June. Went through the residential, down town and business districts, took out numerous homes, three churches and several businesses. Thankfully, no one was badly hurt. Buildings and property can replaced. Very sad when you hear about lives being lost.
