After 8.32" of rain Thursday, river came up:

Best pack a pistol on the cart because the copperheads are out and about, river is flowing nicely though:



Just wish there weren't the nasty copperheads though, they stay still waiting to bite you. Didn't smell any cotton mouths. Now, if there were fat diamond backs out there, yours truly would have them marinated this evening for the grill tomorrow. Took a passing shot to download the pictures thus far:

Nice place - got to love the country.

It's fun making stuff and swapping with folks around the country. Redge and his sourdough starter for example, real maple syrup from Vermont, etc. Ann has sent her Spicy Dog spice out to her Lab Rescue friends. We received this from a friend in Virginia:



The Bayou Blend is serious, I knows such things. Look at the course ground cut:



Has Ancho, thyme, basil, garlic, onion, etc. The best I've ever had, hands down. Fired up the smoker for that on some ribs, will be good on the fresh corn as well this evening. Ann is doing another batch of sourdough cinnamon rolls.

Got the hay baled,

Had some crappie pinwheels.

Used some Spicy Dog seasoning on the pinwheels, mmmm good.
