The propane gas valve went out on the furnace - unit probably 15 years old. Had to convert the natural gas valve to propane. Somewhat a hassle, but done. In the meantime, fired up the second unit in the addition along with the fireplace and we were good. If all else failed - into the shop we go. Have had to do that during Hurricanes on occasion.
Yeah, the house is 8 years old and about time for some things to be breaking down I'm told. Next unit will probably last 20 years and that will be good.
