Finally something to look at in the sports section of the newspaper - the SEC media days. They're saying that Alabama will take the West, while Auburn takes the SEC title. Doesn't make sense to me - they're both in the West.

Thanks Bruce. I guess they are monitoring them here in the southern parishes.

Them ash borers are bad news. We saw the purple boxes around here a few years ago & now we see dead ash trees.

I'm seeing an early hint of Fall around here. I know as hot as it is right now, it's hard to believe. The banana spiders are getting busy, only see them in the Fall:

The large sycamore trees are beginning to drop leaves regular:

Also a lot of dead animals on the road this morning. They're moving about. It's not that they are looking for water because I'm on the river.

Fall can't come soon enough for me. I just don't like the heat. Makes me mean. LOL
I've been making an icebox pie the past few weekends and changing the flavor of juice each time.
    Mix together:
    8 oz. frozen juice concentrate
    8 oz. cool whip
    14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
Pour in graham cracker crust and freeze.

Today is pineapple/orange/banana. So what do you do with the left over 4 oz. of juice? Why make pina coladas. Yes that's what you do.
