That works. I cut the shank off a hook with a matching eye size to the tip and tie/glue it on. I use the bait holder type with the barbs on the shank and it won't slip out of the wrapping so easy.

Thats a really good idea. I have one right now that need a tip. Gonna try it. Maybe lay it on the vise or workbench and chop at it with an old knife or chisel..putting little suurface marks & gouges in it all the way down those two tangs. That would give the thread & epoxy something to grab on to.
Attachment 208537 Just hooked boat p for first time in two months. Gonna try em in Early AM
You're as bad as me. My rig hasn't been wet in almost 5 weeks. The river/creeks have been high and muddy forever. Sure have had out share of rain up here. Nothing compared to you guys down south but still a lot for my area. Normally we would be crying for rain by now. Good luck in the AM.
Attachment 208547Contractor gave me a kewl band today. I was struggling with an issue today and this helped me focus!!!!
I want one. Saw a saying in a local restaurant the other day. I'll try to get it right. "Don't tell God you have a big problem, tell your problem you have a big God" Hey Steve, did you get that offer saturday?
Cool Bama, let us know how you do.
On a side note, since this is a shoot the bull thread, the LHSAA (Louisiana High School Athletic Association) refs announced that they are on strike. Saw it in the paper this evening. Said that the first week of high school football won't happen with them. Here I was thinking that these folks did that on a voluntary basis just for fun. I would if I could. Never even occurred to me it was a basis of extra income for them.
Crying shame to kids and fans who love this so much. High school football around here is almost as intense as in Texas - which is serious. I realize some of you folks won't understand. Just wanted to say something. Thanks.
